NOW THIS IS THE NEIGHBORHOOD BAR!
MOVE OVER APPLEBEE'S!
Authentic bar and grill with the best bar foods around. Place has character.
Literally in my old neighborhood where I grew up was just down the street...wished I was exposed to their food earlier in life because it is the best! The only place I've ever had a equally delicious fried buffalo chicken sandwich was at Fiddlesticks in Hannibal, MO.
The two places have some similar foods and are both great places to eat at but Jacobsmeyer's is the place you go to hang out all night with friends. -

A dark, dim corner bar which serves food. There is no table service, order at the "kitchen." Staff working the kitchen are surly, but the bartenders are friendly. The food is good, but very SLOW to get to your table. On a second trip, I went with friends at lunch. We called our order in 30 minutes in advance and still had to wait for it to be ready when we arrived. Burgers are good, as is the blackened chicken, but expect to wait. Don't get the mac-n-cheese. Honestly there was little cheese and mainly plain noodles in my order, with some bagged shredded cheese slightly melted on top.

I've been here a couple of times and the food has always been very good always come here at lunch time. The service is a bit slow but they are cooking the food fresh so I'm really not going to complain about the orders coming out a little slow.

A must try place!! One of my Army co-workers insisted we try this place. We each ordered appetizers and meals: hot wings, chips, jalapeño poppers and I can't recall the last item. The apps were delicious and the portion sizes were generous. The buffalo tacos (grilled chopped chicken) were good but the burgers and fries seemed to be the best according to my other 2 co-workers. My favorite was the hot wings. The sauce was great not buttery and the wings were cooked to how I like which is slightly crispy.
My recommendation is to try what's on the board first. This is a great place to eat and the staff was super friendly to us. Also, what makes us want to come back is that the guy working there recommended us another local restaurant to try! Love to see GC supporting other businesses. -

The beer is probably the coldest I've ever had (sorry Fast Eddie's) and the bartenders are extremely friendly and quick to get your order. I've eaten there 6-8 times over the last 7 years and I don't think I'll ever eat there again. I really gave the kitchen area a good look and it was pretty dirty. Containers that were warming sides like Mac N Cheese had no covers and had dried up hard food around the edges. They're always running out of napkins, forks, spoons, and never replenish. My friend waited over 45 minutes for a fried bologna sandwich and then they brought out the wrong side with it. The ladies restroom is just a filthy mess and needs some repairs. One stall is permanently closed. Ugh!
